Avalon Surf Swim
Well done to our swimmers who ventured to Avalon for the latest in the ocean swim circuit. check out the elaborate report at http://www.oceanswims.com/nsw45/avalonrep05.html. The times vary slightly from those published as Jan swears that her time was mixed up with the real 6th placegetter - Jenny Davies - so we believe her don't we? Investigate the ocean swims website to work out what the "Dezzie" index is.

Weekend rides

This Saturday Rod will be taking a ride from the coffee van in the middle of the park at 6:45am.  Expected distance 60kms and back in the park by 9am.  There is no “crit experience”.

No official ride this Sunday - but there is a ride to Palm Beach leaving from Cremorne McDonalds at 6:30 am. Distance is about 90km and the pace will be steady - all are welcome.

Kurnell Sprint - Good luck to all competing at Kurnell this Sunday.

Weekend payments
STEAM has been providing coaches for the Saturday and Sunday rides from the weekday coaching fees. To share the costs for these rides, we will be asking for a ticket (or $10) from anyone who has not ridden with the STEAM squads on Tues,Wed,Thurs or Fri in the previous week. We will start this in on 29th Jan. From this date on, please bring a ticket to the Saturday and Sunday rides if you have not been riding with us in the previous week. Please also tell your guests (non-members) that they will need to bring $10 for the ride. Members who make monthly payments are covered for the weekend rides. Because of liability issues we will soon be asking all members to sign a 'waiver' to ride with our squads, and guest cyclists will also have to sign this.

If you have any members that can help at the Kurnell races we need them (first one this Sunday). If they could report to the tent at 6am and should be finished by 11am. All help very welcome and they will be fed.

If you could let Cris in the office or myself know that would be great.
