Speedy recoveries
…..
To Jim Woods who came across an
errant stick this morning and has a couple of broken bones in his elbow – best
wishes for a full and quick recovery and …
To Pete Feain who was taken out
during the C grade sprint at Heffron on Saturday and is missing a fair bit of
bark – ouch.
Hope to see you both back soon on your bikes.

Bowral weekend 27th and 28th August
Accomodation: Ivy Tudor Inn : Cnr Links Rd and Moss Vale Rd Bowral (T) 02 4861 2911. Hosts are Ron and Lyn. Ivy Tudor is about 1km out of Bowral heading towards Moss Vale
Please pay Rod any outstanding monies ASAP. $200 riders $160 non riders. $40 riders only.
A mini bus will be the support vehicle for the ride so any items for the ride can be left on the bus.......food, jackets etc. Rod will be at training all mornings that week so members can bring their luggage for the weekend to be left with Rod. A small soft back pack is preferred. Take note Colm Harris.
Bikes returning from Bowral in the trailer will need to be well padded so it is their owners respondsibility to provide adequate paddding for their rigs. Plus they will be involved in securing their bikes on the day. All care but no responsibility!!
The evening meal is a fixed menu at the Royal Hotel which is included in the cost for the weekend. But wine on the night will be additional. The Royal is licensed so no BYO. We will be having drinks mid afternoon at the Ivy Tudor Inn. Any special requests for alcohol please contact Rod.
Hello from Hungary
Hope this finds you all
well. Currently in Tiszaujvaros Hungary, a small town of around
15,000 people and not a great deal to do and the chance to get this email out
which I have been meaning to do for some time. Having said this
though, it has great triathlon facilities and is our likely base for a couple of
months next year. The World Cup is on tomorrow and is one of
the athlete’s favorite races, more because of the party (there are parties all
week as it is all part of a huge Triathlon Festival which runs for a week.)
The athletes are treated like ‘rock stars’ by the many women
who flock to town for this event, hence why it is so
popular!!!
Head off to
Last week I was in
Alexandropoulis in
Till next time, take care and
hopefully will catch up some time this year!!!!
Safe training and good
health

Atagun and Warren are doing round the bay in day (ie. Port Phillip Bay, Victoria). On the Thursday before, there is a Gran Fondo as part of the herald sun tour. It is a 140 km loop from healesville and then you watch the tour stage afterwards. There is also a 10km mountain TT on the Friday, then round the bay on Sunday. http://www.bv.com.au/inform.php?a=5&b=139&c=140
Is anyone else from the steamtrain interested? Contact Warren at wlee@grantsamuel.com.au

hi all!
Many of you have been wondering what the hell we are up to... Well, since we entered muslim countries (pakistan and iran), we have not been allowed to upload anything on the website, hence our silence... It'll have to wait until Turkey, which is now less than 1500 kms away... Attached a photo to show you that we are still well and good, and hope to give you some more news very soon. Thanks for all your emails, keep them coming!
Cheers
