Saturday

Criterium experience will be leaving from the coffee van in the centre of the park at 6:45am as normal.  Approx distance 55kms and back in the park about 9ish if not before

Sunday

All rides leave from coffee van at 6:15am.   There will be a slower group going to Sutherland or Waterfall depending on numbers.  The faster group will be doing 135km-140kms to Bulli and return.

Today’s incident

Unfortunately, there was a fall in the park today and Jan Davies was taken to hospital.   She is OK but has a splendid lump on her head and a cracking headache plus some bruises.   Apparently it was an accident and no one person is to blame.  However, it sounds as if there was a collective lack of concentration going on and possibly not the best riding was being done.  This is a reminder to everyone that we must always pay attention when riding with others as a lack of concentration can lead to accidents like this.    The park is getting very busy again in the lead up to summer and we cannot afford to be riding in a haphazard manner as this not only endangers our own groups but all the others in the park as well.  I hope that everyone learned something (albeit the hard way) from today’s incident so that we can make sure that it does not happen again.  We wish Jan a speedy recovery and hope to see her back on the bike very soon.

Fun and games at Kiama....

some happy snaps of the group on Monday's Macquarie Pass ride....
