TTT bbq SUNDAY
All welcome to the bbq on Sunday afternoon starting from about 3:30pm.   Marcus and Leica have very kindly offered us their terrace overlooking Gordon's Bay at Clovelly so that we can watch the surfers and have a few cold drinks after our efforts in the morning - either racing or supporting or just putting up with everyone's training.
Address is Unit 2, 44 Cliffbrook Parade - park in the Clovelly beach car park at the very end of Clovelly Road at the Gordon's Bay end.  Walk up the cliff path towards Coogee and number 44 is just on your left.
All Steam members welcome as it is a social occasion for all and the TTT just happens to be a good excuse to have a get together.
Please can you let Anna or Daniele know on ciclismo@tpg.com.au whether or not you can make it.   We would really like everyone who raced to come at least for half an hour or so as there is a surprise in store.  Once again all welcome - good excuse to have a few beers at the beach on a Sunday arvo.

Yepoon
Good luck to all competing at Yepoon on the weekend in the Half-Ironman.

Atagun

I am now at home in Bronte after being politely shown the door at North Shore Private Hopsital. I think they were getting concerned about how attached I was becoming to the pain killers. Now I have to make do with panadols. I had quite a few visitors and well wishers. Thank you all. It really does break up the day and prevents you from going mad or becoming an Oprah addict (the same thing I guess)

The knee surgery went well. I now have a plate, five screws and part of my hip in my tibia. Unfortunately part of the cartlidge was badly damaged and nothing could be done to rectify it. I now face a long recovery. The knee is in a brace and for the next three weeks I am at home on crutches. I'm not allowed to put any weight on the leg but have some limited physio to maintain movement in the knee. About three months down the track I should be able to walk. Light exercise will follow and I may be able to get back on the bike. For now I just stare at the bike, which rests in my bedroom. The plates and screws will come out in one years time.

Give my best to everyone and when I am more mobile I can come along to a STEAM event.

Cheers
